I was once a regular 428er getting on at Newtown Station and making the trip to Canterbury. I once accidently caught the 426 and the route took me around the back of Dulwich Hill - Which I'd only ever seen via train.
I now want to take that bus again and see what it's like!
I'm very excited about this work - most of my writing starts on public transport (as 4 hours of every day ATLEAST involves buses) so it'll be great to see what style this atmosphere will give the writing.
I can't wait!

I like the 426 as well, but it always feels a bit more genteel, at least to me. The 428 goes through a range of distinctly difference tribal areas. Go all the way to Canterbury on it, and see how the suburbs transform.

Oh David- You are the fairy-bus father... the truth is- I really like the 426 line... but I'm going to have a go at the 428 and see which I prefer.... and might do a popular vote with the writers - WHICH BUS ROUTE DO YOU PREFER 426 or 428? The winning bus route gets a bunch of playwrights on it and a play inspired by it!

um, if you want to get to Sidetrack, you'd be better off on the 428 bus. After Addison Rd, it goes onto Canterbury. Interesting trip, and somewhat longer than the 426, which goes up Marrickville Rd to Dulwich Hill.
